Did you know – Liverpool Lime Street station is fronted by a building that was designed to resemble a French château. Designer Alfred Waterhouse is also responsible for the architecture behind Manchester town hall and the Natural History Museum.

  1. I wonder why your opening message seems to concentrate on Manchester. A city of no particular grace? If I wished to travel from North Wales, I think Liverpool would offer more.
